Independent informational service

Portal Home Values is an independent informational service. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any real estate portal, financial institution, government agency, property-data provider or other third-party source referenced on the site or in a report. All trademarks and service marks belong to their respective owners.

Online estimates are not professional valuations

Third-party home values are automated or otherwise publicly displayed estimates. They are not appraisals, comparative market analyses, guarantees or definitive opinions of market value. They may rely on incomplete, outdated or incorrect property information.

Portal Home Values reports organize information found online and explain differences that may be relevant to homeowners and prospective buyers. We do not independently calculate, correct or endorse a third party’s estimate.

Availability varies

We find what we can, where available. No fixed source list or minimum number of estimates is promised. Websites, access rules and estimates can change at any time. A source may be omitted if it is unavailable, blocked, produces an error, requires login or registration, requests contact information or cannot reasonably be accessed.

When a source publishes a range, the report preserves that range rather than manufacturing a midpoint.

Professional advice

A report is not legal, tax, financial, lending, appraisal or investment advice. Before making a real estate decision, consult appropriately qualified professionals. A professional real estate valuation involves seeing the property, selecting appropriate comparable sales, evaluating current competition and market conditions, and applying professional judgment.
